Contact Strong Mind Your Body

Questions about the food and nutrient topics on this site are welcome, and so is criticism. If a page overstates something, or if a food you eat regularly is missing, tell us. This page explains what to send, what we can help with, and what falls outside what an editorial team can answer.

What to write to us about

Editorial desk, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Send questions about the content: zinc-rich foods, selenium sources, how a Mediterranean-style pattern works in a UK kitchen, or why a particular food appears in the guidance. Feedback about unclear pages is genuinely useful, and so are suggestions for topics we have not covered.

If you spotted an error, include the page and the sentence, and we will check it against the source. Corrections are read by the same people who wrote the page, so a precise note is worth more than a general complaint. Naming the food, the claim and where it appears saves a round of email.

Food questions

Why a specific food is in the guidance, what a nutrient does in a normal diet, or how a pattern from another cuisine translates to a UK supermarket basket.

Corrections

A sentence that reads more certain than the source does, an out-of-date figure, a food group described too loosely — send the page and the line and we will re-check it.

Topic suggestions

Foods we have not covered, meals that are hard to plan, or a question you keep hearing from other men. A sentence on why it matters to you helps us prioritise.

Unclear pages

Tell us what you expected to find and what you actually read. Plain complaints about confusing wording are the fastest way to get a page rewritten.

What we cannot help with

We are an editorial team, not clinicians. We cannot diagnose anything, interpret blood results, review medication, or advise on a specific fertility treatment.

If your question is about your own health, your GP or a registered dietitian is the right place to take it, and NHS services can point you to fertility support. We will say so rather than guess, and we will not pretend a website can substitute for that conversation.

Sorting a message before you send it

  • Content and wording Ours to answer. Pages, nutrients, meal patterns, sources and anything that reads unclearly.
  • Your own results Not ours to read. Blood panels, scans and test reports belong with the clinician who ordered them.
  • Medication and dosage Not ours to advise on. Your prescriber or pharmacist can answer questions about interactions.
  • Fertility treatment Ours to leave alone. Clinic choice, protocols and timings need a specialist, not an editor.
  • Food and meals Ours to explain. What a food supplies, how often it turns up on a plate, and how to cook it plainly.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing here is meant to replace a conversation with a qualified professional.

How to send your message

Use the form and include enough detail for us to answer properly: which page you are writing about, what you expected to find, and what you would like clarified. Short messages are fine. We read everything that arrives through the form, including the ones that disagree with us.

We only use your details to reply. Read the privacy policy.

What happens after you send it

  1. Your message arrives It reaches the editorial team, and you will see a confirmation page straight away.
  2. We aim to reply in a few working days Substantive questions usually get an answer within a few working days, and the answer comes from the person who wrote the page.
  3. Corrections take longer Corrections and topic suggestions go into the revision queue, so a fix may appear on the page before you hear back from us.
  4. If it needs a clinician We will tell you that plainly instead of leaving it unanswered, and point you to your GP, a registered dietitian or NHS fertility support.

Corrections we have made

Reader messages have changed pages on this site. Several have been rewritten after someone pointed out that a sentence sounded more certain than the source does, and a few food items have been added because readers kept asking about them.

We would rather be corrected than be confident and wrong. If you think a claim here overstates what food can do, that is exactly the kind of message we want, and the corrections list above this line is not decoration — it is the record of those messages.

Before you write about a food

Tell us the meal, not the marketing line. We are more useful when a message names what you actually eat in a week — pumpkin seeds on porridge, walnuts in a lunch box, green tea in the afternoon — than when it names a benefit you read somewhere.

Still reading? The pages below cover most of what arrives in the postbag before you write.

Privacy and your details

We only use the details you send in order to reply. We do not pass them to third parties, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

The privacy policy sets out how data submitted through the site is handled, and the cookie policy explains what the site stores in your browser. If you would rather not use the form at all, that is a reasonable choice and nothing on the site is gated behind it.

Will you publish my message or my name?

No. Messages sent through the form are read by the editorial team and used to answer you or to change a page. We do not publish emails, names or quotes from the form, and we do not run a comments section.

Can I write without giving my name?

You can leave the name field as brief as you like, and a first name alone is fine. If a correction needs a follow-up question from us, we may ask for a way to reach you, but the change itself does not depend on it.

Do you answer every message?

Every message is read. Replies go to substantive questions about the content; short thank-yous and one-line topic names may not get a reply, but they still count when we decide what to revise next.

Can the team tell me what to eat?

We can explain what a food supplies and how it fits into a week of eating, and we can point you to the pages that cover it. We cannot plan a diet around a health condition or a test result. For that, speak to your GP or a registered dietitian.

One more way to reach us

If the form is not working for you, or you would rather write from your own email client, the editorial inbox is open during working hours. A plain email with the page name and the sentence you are asking about gets the same treatment as a form message.

Before you write about a nutrient claim, the About Us page explains where the site's sources come from and how a page is put together, which answers most of the "where did this come from" questions we receive.
